Situated in what was once the heart of the Bubi Kingdom, the Moka Wildlife Center (MWC), is the on-island research headquarters of the BBPP. Since acquired in 2005, the BBPP has transformed the property into a field station, eco-tourist lodge, and an example of a rural, yet comfortable and sustainable, alternative lifestyle to the bustling city life of Malabo.
The stories for the Bioko Island Book Series were cultivated from her experiences with the amazing wildlife, her interaction with the good people of Bioko, and her work with BBPP. The series, a collection of delightful and thought provoking reads for both children and adults; was created to foster an appreciation for the natural world and stress the importance of good conservation practices.
